Health and Safety

It is our policy to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all our employees or other persons who may be affected by our undertakings. We will provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace and ensure safe systems of work, which are achieved by an on-going training culture. We ensure that on our sites we provide suitable welfare, sanitary and working facilities as required. We believe good health and safety management promotes a healthy working environment and a well informed workforce will improve productivity which in turn leads to continued development and a safe working place for all our employees and members of the general public. Our employees are actively encouraged to bring any concerns in relation to Health & Safety to the attention of the Management and the actions of the Public, Visitors, and Sub-Contractors are controlled in such a way so as not to cause any harm to either our employees or themselves. Our Health and Safety Policy complies with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and is subject to regular reviews to update changes in legislation along with an annual appraisal.

Armitage Construction are conscious of the importance of waste management and its effect on our environment. We are committed to minimizing waste production by employing techniques to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle materials at all stages of our endeavours. We are also fully committed to ensuring that all tasks and operations are fully compliant with all current statutory legislation and best practice principles.
