The purpose built nursery is Kids Allowed’s seventh childcare centre within the South Manchester and Cheshire area.
The works comprised the demolition and site clearance of the existing car park site to provide clear access across the development prior to work commencing. The building is of steel frame construction with brick/block external cavity walls which complement the surrounding area. The roof has been constructed from composite cladding panels with pre-applied single ply roofing membrane and air-sealed fascias and soffits to accentuate the gull wing roof design throughout. Windows and curtain walling have been manufactured from a timber/aluminium composite along with a bespoke canopy and brise-soleil to the main entrance area.
Under floor heating has been installed throughout with extensive electrical and data installations inclusive of biometric security devices to all entrance areas. The fit-out comprised of bespoke baby-change facilities, sliding partitions as well as catering and reception amenities which matches the corporate branding throughout all Kids Allowed nurseries.
Externally, a first floor play deck has been constructed and overlaid with multi-coloured artificial grass which has been designed for play and recreation along with the installation of bespoke play equipment to all areas of the play deck. The ground floor play areas are enclosed with decorative railings and acoustic fencing along with the installation of bespoke play equipment, multi-coloured artificial grass, pergolas, storage outbuildings and planters.
