Wythenshawe Hospital

We were delighted to have been selected to complete the contract at Wythenshawe Hospital on behalf of The University Hospital of South Manchester.

The project comprised of the complete refurbishment of the existing preparations room plus a disposed sluice room sandwiched between two 'live' operating theatres of the Ear, Nose & Throat department at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The site location was on the 1st floor with access of resources and materials being made over the existing roof via an access formed through an existing window.

The works consisted of the re modelling of the rooms together with new M&E installations, this included wall, floor and ceiling finishes together with specialist sanitary fixtures and fittings. The contracts programme was over a 16 week period with large elements of work being carried out outside normal working hours. The operating theatre remaining functional was a priority and our close daily liaison with the hospitals managers ensured its continued use with minimal patient and staff disruption.

"Just a note to say thank you to Armitage Construction for completing a difficult project in the ENT theatres at Wythenshawe Hospital."
