Probably the greatest example of our traditional skills is exemplified in this sector of our work. Over 140 years of tradition and learning has gone into the service and finishes that we offer today.

We have an excellent record of working on Grade I, II and II* listed buildings including Halls, Public Buildings, Stately Homes and Churches.

Christ Church - South Manchester
Built in the early 20th century, Christ Church in South Manchester boasts an unusual mix of art deco and gothic revival style architectural features.
Quarry Bank Mill - Welcome Building
Armitage Construction recently completed the construction of the new Welcome building at Quarry Bank Mill following the successful restoration of the Victorian Glasshouse and Upper Gardens.
Wesley Methodist Church
Wesley Methodist Church, situated within the Chester Central Conservation Area, is a Grade II listed building constructed in 1811.
Quarry Bank Mill - Upper Garden
The upper Garden was in very poor condition following acquisition by the National Trust. Whilst considerable work has been undertaken to restore the garden, much work remained to be done.
Elizabeth Gaskell's House - Coach House
We are delighted to be carrying out further refurbishment of the former Plymouth Grove home of Victorian author and literary legend Elizabeth Gaskell.
Saddleworth Museum & Art Gallery
Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery opened in 1962 and is situated in one of the out buildings of the 19th century Victoria Mill.
Christ Church - Eccleston
Christ Church, situated on Church Lane, Eccleston was built in 1838 and sits at the northern end of a large graveyard.
St Clement's Church
Following the successful completion of Phase I works at St Clement's Church, Urmston in 2008, we have been successful in the acquisition of Phase II.
Little Moreton Hall
Little Moreton Hall is a moated 15th & 16th Century, Grade I, half timbered Manor House and is protected as a Scheduled Monument.
Trinity Church
Originally constructed in 1873, Trinity Church stands on Hardwick Mount in Buxton.
Holy Trinity Church
We completed a conservation scheme at Holy Trinity Church in Shaw, Oldham. The site on which the Church stands has been a place of worship since 1515.
Hartley Hall
A modern student accommodation for the Manchester Islamic School Trust
Chetham's School of Music
Chetham's was built in 1421 and originally lodged the college of 15th Century priests who officiated at the Church that is now Manchester Cathedral.
Burton Manor Glasshouses
Burton Manor Glasshouse is a Grade II listed building, which was transformed after years of neglect.
