Armitage has started work on the Endoscopy Unit Extension at Stepping Hill Hospital.
Work is underway on the £1.9m redevelopment of the Endoscopy Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. The project will include demolition of part of the existing unit to make way for a new extension.
The extension has been redesigned by DAY Architectural and will include two new examination rooms, a new procedure room and same-sex recovery zones. The redevelopment is scheduled to be completed in May 2022.
Managing Director Daniel Armitage said, "Having already established an excellent working relationship with the Construction Project Team at Stepping Hill through previously completed schemes it is fantastic we are awarded the opportunity to return again and assist the Hospital in its further development and upgrading of the Endoscopy Unit, whilst the scheme is extremely challenging with many technical issues to overcome I am confident in my team, the professional team and the representatives of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust to make this a hugely successful project".
