Armitage has begun work on the refurbishment of 15 Health Centres across the Greater Manchester area.
The £2.4m Capital Improvements Works contract to overhaul existing Health Centres in the local area includes M&E services design and installation.
Health Centres are to remain live throughout the Construction Period resulting in a phased approach site wide in order to maintain GP, Podiatry, Community and Dental services provided in various NHS properties.
Armitage are delighted to be working alongside NHS Property Services and Urban Design and Consult again, having previously completed similar schemes over the years upgrading numerous Health Centres across the North West.
Eugene O’Callaghan, Operations Manager at Armitage, said “Armitage are delighted to be working alongside NHSPS and UDC again. These types of projects offer a number of logistical and operational challenges and we are pleased to be able to utilise our experience and knowledge to the benefit of NHSPS. Our proactive “can do” approach to project delivery is just one reason our clients procure our services on a regular basis.”
Dave Percy, Operations Director at UDC added “We are delighted to be working with Armitage again on this year’s Capital Improvement Programme having them successfully completed a rigorous cost and quality procurement exercise. We are confident they have both the experience and resource to complete the project successfully and we look forward to supporting them with the efficient execution of the works. It is a privilege to support our mutual client, NHS Property Services at a time where that support is needed most.”
