Armitage were appointed as main contractor to carry out the refurbishment of the staff and visitor restaurant at Stepping Hill Hospital.
The eye-catching colours and luxury interior have created a modern, welcoming environment for its users, complete with a new garden area which opens up from the restaurant. Externally, the building has been re-cladded with Equitone panelling, set out in a shingles format, the first time Equitone panelling has been set out in this arrangement.
The link corridor was demolished and rebuilt and has been decorated to match the modern, high-spec facilities. All work was carried out within a live environment during the COVID-19 pandemic with minimal impact to programme.
"Works on site have continued through the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact on programme has been minimised thanks to the dedicated team for which we are extremely grateful. The quality of the work has been very high and we look forward to working with Armitage again."
"An interesting and challenging project particularly in these unprecedented times. The success of the project centred around the collaboration of all consultant and contractor teams and a hands-on approach by our Contract delivery team. We were delighted to be able to undertake this project and provide a 1st class facility for the NHS."
